As of the patch on May 16, 2017, when the CEO runs you over while you're on the table and he finally leaves, you will enter the gray area and cannot participate in the CEO any longer. You will remain in this form, even in the playground, until you log out.

While in this form, you cannot do anything, such as enter/exit buildings, grab treasures, or anything that requires interaction to an object. You can still teleport and open your Shticker Book.

Once you log out, you will return to normal.
