From Toontown Rewritten Wiki

For me, they didn't even last for a month. The Bypasses from the LBHQ ARG haven't worked in ages. Apparently they were "too dangerous". (Merry Christmas to you too, Toon Council. You're just a beam of sunshine, you guys.) I don't have any exact dates for you, but the last time that I used them MIGHT have been July 4, 2014. It seems to be appearing a lot in my notes.

  • The teleportation bypasses stopped working in-game some time before July 25, 2014. The exact date the bypasses stopped working is unknown.
  • On August 26, 2014, when Doctor Surlee was in Chip 'n Dale's MiniGolf, he said "I had some teleportation holes, but the Toon Council took them down. I hope none of you used them!"

Yes, I do believe the coordinates point to the exact (x, y) of the fountain's center. I found that if you're standing in the water, then the Bypass will probably work. So there IS some leniency on where you can stand. You don't have to be exact, and being 100% on point is near impossible with a game like Toontown. No walk button, tank controls, and lag doesn't help. :P

For my pictures of the "Portable Hole" Network Bypasses, I really tried to get my placement as close as I could to make things obvious. I remember having a picture of me activating a Bypass in SBHQ, but my coordinates were off, so I was worried it would be confusing. I ended up using another picture of it instead.

Long after the Bypasses that lead to LBHQ were shut down, there was a Bypass to Bossbot HQ. ...And they later shut that one down too. I don't know if you ever used that BBHQ one, but it seemed to work pretty much the same (except less buggy and it didn't say anything until you got to BBHQ).

The positioning is so lenient, that if you know where it is, you don't even need to look at the coordinates anymore. You can guesstimate.

If the Bypasses came back, I'm not sure if the Daisy Gardens one would work for us. There wasn't always that huge flower in the center of the maze. (I wonder if a plant COULD even grow on top of a Bypass. Maybe that was the reason we didn't have that flower growing there for so long.)

I find it sad that they don't work anymore. But I was able to replicate it so you can still play the ARG on the Wiki. It starts at the Donald's Dock Playground.
