Category talk:Candidates for deletion

From Toontown Rewritten Wiki

Please use this page to discuss pages that have been marked as candidates for deletion.

Doomsday & Doomsday Trivia section of The Toon Council Presidential Elections page.

I am suggesting a deletion of the Doomsday & Doomsday Trivia sections of the Toon Council Presidential Election page - NOT THE WHOLE PAGE.

This is because almost identical text can be found on Doomsday's own page, and therefore it is simply making an already long article unnecessarily longer. It would make organization of wiki pages better if the 2 sub-events were seperated. I thought I would open this for discussion before deletion, as it's quite a hefty lot that might be deleted and some may want it to stay.

The reason I added that info to the TCPE page is because: Doomsday is the SAME thing as the election. They are different words that explain the same thing. At the election, you fight cogs. Not at the election Slappy is elected, then at Doomsday, you fight cogs. Now, I was considering doing this: At the bottom of TCPE page, add a See Also: Doomsday. When clicked, you are redirected to a page: Toon Coundcil Presidential Election/Doomsday. That way it is kept in a subpage and not lost by itself. This issue has hence been resolved.

Beta Category

I think it would be useful to know what stage an element of the game was implimented in.  It also makes it easy to get an idea of what Alpha and Beta were like without resorting to the obligitory "OLD TTR" Page.  I think this way is simpler and more concise.

The only problem is this might give pages 1 category right off the bat.  And Even though Toon Colors would be in Alpha, Beta, and Open Release, it would be confusing if "Rainbow" was only in the Open Release but the page it's on has been around since Alpha.

I still think this is a good way of doing things though.  Dynaboom (talk) 09:22, May 16, 2014 (UTC)

Trading card

my trading card page was deleted for no reason, i posted it, put my own known information, 3 hours later, it gets deleted. i read the text, it said it had a similarity with the DOOMSDAY topic, though, it had to relation. i think my page should be put back. thanks. Lemonsticks

There is a new article named "Lemonsticks" This article is nothing but details of a ordinary toon, it is not a feature or NPC, so it should not be on the wiki, Just Sayin' Hi5TBone (talk) 21:04, August 13, 2014 (UTC)

DO NOT DELETE THE BLOODSUCKER PAGE

This is a properly named article. Danielgomario 04:27, August 19, 2014 (UTC)

Goofy's Gag Shop

Hey, just wondering why Goofy's Gag Shop was put up as a candidate for deletion? I saw Manulik put it, but I see no point in deleting the page. It has enough information, and there is no point to make a bunch of pages for each gag shop. Even on the TTO Wiki they have the page. Someone wanna explain why this is a candidate for deletion?

Also wanted to note, there is no reason we should delete a page with plenty of good information, while we leave pages for little pointless shops and NPCs that have nothing to do with the main gameplay unless you happen to stumble into their shops for a Toontask.

TheGameAce (talk) 13:51, October 21, 2014 (UTC)

I think it's useful to have them for all the playgrounds because they have unique shopkeepers. But the "Goofy's Gag Shop" page that's up for deletion would be useful and already has a lot of good information. The page that's up for deletion could link to the individual shops of the franchise and hold all the common information, doubling as a template (except easy to search for).

And the "Gag Shops" category only has 3 pages and literally only says

"Gag Shops are where you can purchase more gags."

I think it would be a good idea to keep said page.

Dynaboom (talk) 17:18, October 21, 2014 (UTC)

Good idea I suppose Dynaboom. It just doesn't fully feel like it's needed though to make so many seperate pages. I would think a Gallery would be fine to display each gag shop, but whatever really. If that works and you guys like it, I'll go ahead and do that myself later on if it's approved.

Executive Office Tower

Why is the executive office page a candidate for deletion? Randomphoenix03 (talk) 00:39, June 1, 2015 (UTC)

Because whoever put the delete template didn't put a reason. It's for deletion because it's a duplicate. See: Executive Office Tower. "The Executive Office" is now a redirect.  Bermuda • Talk • 00:43,6/1/2015

Token Taker

Why is the Token Taker page up for deletion?

I don't see why the token takers page is up for deletion. It has plenty of information. However there is another page that should be deleted. i can't remember the name of it but it has a list of all of the items from ToonFest 2015. Same with with the token takers. Considering the token takers page is much bigger, i think the one with the list of toonfest 2015 items should be deleted since it has the same info as token takers. just saying.
