Well, I wanted to see Doctor Surlee's "Toon-Rewritinfo" debug responses. Those secret messages were used to decrypt the back side of Doctor Surlee's blueprint of The Rewritten Device.

"The Two" Toons turned on the debug mode as a part of the November 26, 2014 update and Blog Post.

The debug mode for the Rewritten Device was turned off again later. The event probably lasted less than a month. Can't remember. But it only gave you messages when you talked to NPCs using a Toon that "resembled" Doctor Surlee (probably his Toon color and body proportions).

Who knows if I'll ever need that Toon for another ARG...
