Friend
A friend refers to a Toon that accepted a sender's friend request, which their name then becomes viewable on the sender's friend list. Toons can whisper to their friends, view their Toon panels, teleport to them, and delete them from their friend list. Toons can have a maximum of 250 friends.
Sending a friend request
There are two ways to send a friend request. One way is to click the friend list, click the hand, and then click another Toon's name, which should send a friend request to them. Another way is to click another Toon's name to view their panel and click the "Add Friend" button to send a friend request to them.
Friend list
The friend list is a list that shows the friends of a Toon, viewable by clicking the "Friends" button. There are several sections in the friend list: "Nearby Pets" shows doodles that are present at an estate, "Online Toon Friends" shows a Toon's friends that are online, "All Toon Friends" shows a Toon's friends that are either online or offline, and "Nearby Toons" shows other Toons that are present at the same location.
Trivia
- There are Easter eggs where Toons receive captions from Cogs and doodles when attempting to friend them.
- As of the 2.7.0 update that was released on December 15, 2020, the maximum number of friends was increased to 150 and "Online Player Friends" was removed from friend lists.
- As of the 3.6.1k update that was released on November 20, 2022, the maximum number of friends was increased to 250.
- As of the 3.10.4e update that was released on December 5, 2023, the notification for when a friend is removed is no longer sent.
