Launcher
The launcher is an application that allows players to access Toontown Rewritten via the account server and authentication server after entering their account credentials. It can be downloaded by visiting the "Play" page of Toontown Rewritten's website. Unlike Windows and Linux, the macOS launcher contains a built-in Cog Invasion tracker that actively updates whenever one is present, which can be viewed by opening the launcher and selecting "View" then "Show Invasions" from the macOS menu bar. The current art for the launcher depicts Doctor Surlee in his lab gazing at the monitor while holding a pencil and clipboard, with a large chalkboard displaying the Toontown blog from behind.
During ToonFest Orlando on August 8, 2025, it was announced that a new launcher is in development.[1] The new launcher is expected to introduce several new features such as multi-account support, more ways to download, additional login options, notifications, handy helpers (gag calculator and guides), and demo mode. There would also be different themes and account selection icons. Attendees could playtest the new launcher that came with a ToonFest Orlando theme.
