- "grey area of death at factory"?
Sounds like a bug with TTR's loading system that I've been having for a while.
If you press Tab (or Shift+Tab) until you're in a first-person view (See: Controls), then enter a Street (like Polar Place), then only the first section of the Street will load. You can clearly see when the road just stops and you can run right into The Grey.
The loading system can be reset by either going to the normal camera view and entering and existing a shop, OR by going to the normal camera view, fighting a Cog, and winning the battle.
This becomes a major problem in the Sellbot Factory because any of the 4 Toons in your group interacting with the sliding doors force the game to load another section of the Factory. It wouldn't be THAT much of a problem if Toons were guaranteed to have the default camera angle, but certain areas in the Factory force a different camera angle on you.
The worst area for me is the Warehouse. There are 4 Cogs guarding 4 stomper switches. Once the Cogs are defeated, you can step on those switches. The one on the far left activates the far left stomper, the one in the middle right activates the middle right stomper, etc.
But a new camera angle is forced on you so you can see the switches and the stompers at the same time easily. And when you're encouraged to take your time and stomp on the Goons, someone might jump straight for the metal doors, forcing the game to load when using an exotic camera angle.
If you don't jump off (and out of the area with the weird camera) before the Toon activates the door, the loading system will break. It will load the next section, but as soon as the door closes, the new area will unload, just leaving the Warehouse area.
I'm not sure there is a way out of the Warehouse at this point...
Pretty sure you could make this glitch happen in the other rooms too. Maybe by going into first person mode to take a really good picture of a Goon for this Wiki... But that's a little less likely. It almost seems like the game is now designed to mess up at the Warehouse. The Toontown Rewritten loading system might be kinda ok for loading linear sections like Streets, but Factories are a bit more open-ended.
I've emailed a bug report of it to the TTR Team before. Hope they get this fixed. I wonder how this would affect future content like 4 story houses at Estates, or a new Toon Hall with huge branching pathways and secret passages. -shudder-
To me, the loading system is still not as big a deal as "The Fabulous Toontown Rewritten Engine has stopped working" bug on login. Makes it a nightmare to get the game to work...
Hmmm... This Page (oldid=51842) used to have Fat McStink's (a TTR Server Admin) workaround for this, but it's been gone for a while. I've been putting off trying to refurbish this Page, so for now I'll post the fix in this comment.

- For some insane, mind-boggling reason, windows loads the wrong TTRGame.bin with the new engine in some cases. It makes no sense.
- The fix is to rename C:\Program Files (x86)\Toontown Rewritten to C:\Program Files (x86)\Toontown Rewritten2. The actual new name doesn't matter, it just has to change.
It looks like I'm not the only one having this problem either. ( https://www.reddit.com/r/Toontown/comments/3u9q6j/toontown_rewritten_engine_crashes_upon_launch/ ) Also, when this question was posted, the possible solution wasn't on this Bugs Page. And I'll probably go more into detail about this "TTREngine.exe has stopped working" bug. The way it works changed at ToonFest 2015, and there's a difference between CLICKING the GO! button and PRESSING the Enter button at login. (If the Windows version is "Fabulous", then is the Linux version "Ridiculous"?)
I had a bunch of dates set up for when the bugs were last seen, but some of them were pretty old. Toonling said something about updating them every week. I'll see what I can do to make it better, but every week, or even two weeks just flat-out isn't going to happen.
Also, avoid Photo Fun like the plague. If I let it crash me, then I'm super on top of things, I'll be unable to play the game for about two weeks. If I let it crash me then I miss an update, I'll be out of commission for more than a month. Be careful.
I was gonna wait a bit to explain what I was thinking about doing for this Page, but this comment is a decent place to do it.
- "And at Toon tourial flippy was away"
I'm not quite sure what you mean by that. Was Flippy missing when you were supposed to talk to him? That would really stink.
- "Also, we can go through the maze in daisy gardens in a sharp corner."
That's pretty cool, but it's also a pretty small bug. In my mind, this Page is mainly for either super toxic glitches that can make or break your entire experience with the game, or cool little experimental features that you might not have even known about. (See Also: Resource Pack)
It might be cool to have an "Out of Bounds" section though. Wonder how useful that would be...
