Pink slip (reward)

A pink slip, otherwise known as a fire, is a reward that is awarded to Toons when they defeat the Chief Executive Officer. Pink slips are used to "fire" targeted Cogs out of battle with a cannon, and are also capable of eliminating both the outer suit and the Skelecog form of Version 2.0 Cogs. Toons can hold up to 200 pink slips.

The number of awarded pink slips after defeating the Chief Executive Officer ranges between two to six, depending on how the tier system of the Chief Executive Officer boss battle plays out.

Trivia

• In real life, a pink slip is a notice of dismissal from employment. The cannon likely represents an employee being "fired".
• Lord Lowden Clear is the only SOS Toon who uses a pink slip on all Cogs in battle.
• As a result of the 3.0.0 update that introduced rebalancing changes and was released on December 3, 2021, the maximum limit of pink slips was reduced from 255 to 200 on May 31, 2022.
