April

April 1, 2025 [ttr-live-v4.1.7.1.7.1.7f-but-for-real]

• The Factory Foreman has received a makeover — for April Toons Week, Toons who infiltrate his office will see him sporting a new random pair of glasses!
• More patch notes have been added below to address a bug causing not enough patch notes.

General

• All Toon heads have been made 1% smaller.
• To encourage exploration, Doctor Surlee has closed the Portable Hole Network. All Portable Holes have been removed.
• We’re testing out a day and night cycle! Be among the first to experience Toontown’s new night mode in Donald’s Dreamland.
• All ToonTasks have been given a time limit within which Toons will be required to complete them. Failure to do so will result in the Task restarting from the beginning.
• Replaced the Horse Toon model with the Sea Horse fish model - Snorkel included!
• Replaced the Bear Toon model with the Bear Acuda model - Snorkel not included!
• The Donald’s Dock boat has been replaced with a new, circular bridge!
• Clear Coasts has been drained. No more water.
• The Toon Council is now Under New Management! Flippy has been replaced by Tutorial Tom, the most famous Toon in Toontown.

Activities

• All Fish have been made 20% rarer.
• Doctor White has finally picked up the telephone! Nurse Sharks will no longer appear in fishing ponds.
• Decreased speed maintained when colliding with walls while Racing by 50%.
• Reintroduced proper Golf physics, golf balls will now go wherever they feel like regardless of a Toon’s inputs!
• Restored the original collisions in Donald’s Dreamland – playgrounds are for standing, not jumping!

Cogs

• Due to concerns, the Cogs have been recharacterized as simply robots. All mentions of corporations, business terms, and greed have been removed.
• Fixed a longstanding bug that applied the health of a Level 12 Cog to 196. It has been properly returned to 200.
• Cogs, Inc’s Catal-cog has started offering Cog Rewrites! Flunkies have been replaced by Lackies. They’re like Flunkies, except buff and without glasses.
• Due to a programming error, “Legal Eagle” has been renamed “Legal Beagle.”
• To create parity, Legal Beagle has been completely redesigned! Woof woof!
• Our behind-the-scenes Merits system has been overhauled, introducing Merit2!
• As a result of the migration, all v2.0 Cog Disguises have been reset to Level 8 and any rewards have been revoked. Sorry!
• Cog Summons have been scaled back to only Summon A Cog. All Building/Invasion Summons have been converted to Cog Summons.

Balancing

• All levels of the Toon-Up Gag Track have been adjusted to all heal for 210 Laff Points, except for the High Drive gag which remains at 210 Laff Points. Spread the love!
• Due to a bug in which Toons carrying maxed organic Trap could destroy Level 12 Cogs, the Trap Gag Track has been removed from the game.
• Restored an old Lure configuration in Cog HQs – now only the rightmost lured Cog in battles will have knockback.
• Randomized Lure accuracy across all Lure Gags.
• Due to popular demand, the gag carrying capacity of Foghorns has been further reduced to 1.
• Due to a forgotten oversight from Under New Management's release, Organic Throw has been nerfed from a 10% to a 5% damage boost.
• Due to the functional similarities between the Throw and Squirt gag tracks, they have been merged into one Gag Track. That Gag Track is Throw. Squirt has been removed from the game.
• The word “Gullible” has been added to the ceiling.

• The Evil Golf Balls infest the Bossbot Clubhouse no longer! Good Ol' Gil Giggles has been assured that Toon golf balls should no longer disappear instantly during the CEO Battle.

April 25, 2025 [ttr-live-v4.2.0]

ToonTasks

• Hear ye, hear ye! Upon this fetch-questing scroll it is writ: By order of HQ Harry and the Toon Council, the back-end system behind ToonTasks across town has been ENTIRELY reinvented. This drastically expands on flexibility, ease of development, and support for a wider array of objectives & scenarios!
• One of the goals of this update was to transfer currently held ToonTasks through as accurately as possible. If you notice any oddities in the aftermath, please reach out to [email protected].
• Added 15+ new types of ToonTask objectives. Some are a little too shy to show themselves yet, but perhaps we can coax them out of hiding in the near-ish future. Stay TOONed!
• "Catch Fish" ToonTasks may now randomly appear in all Playground tasklines.
• "Defeat Cog Building Floors" ToonTasks may now randomly appear upon reaching Minnie's Melodyland.
• Changed the way many types of "Deliver Item" ToonTasks function! Less than the full amount can be delivered and will now partially fill up the progress bar. Additionally, currently held items will be reflected and show how much progress will be contributed.
• Visually remastered the ToonTask scroll background.
• Tweaked the requirements for some of Donald's Dreamland's "Defeat Cog Building" and "Defeat Cogs in Cashbot Mints" tasks to be a little more fair. Why, back in my day...

Accessories

• Added the shiny (shinier!), new, retextured Anti-Cog Control Hat to the May-June Cattlelog rotation. Conspiracy theorists rejoice!

• Kicked the Number Crunchers off the printing presses, successfully de-crunchifying various Shticker Book icon visuals.

• Fixed numerous instances of stars not appearing above Cogs' heads when hit by gags. The more you know!

• Added ice skating to the central rink in The Brrrgh Playground! Start skating by pressing the blue button that pops up while on the ice.
• Greatly increased the size of the central rink to accommodate skating (and prevent the occurrence of Ted-like toboggan accidents).
• Slipped in some slippery ice surfaces, causing Toons to slide around on ice even while not skating. This also includes smaller ice cubes found in The Brrrgh! Local Toons say it all started recently after Doctor Dimm made the unfortunate discovery of ice physics…
• Placed some props around The Brrrgh for any keen “alpine climbers” in the Playground to trek.
• Toons themselves have been remastered into higher definition – including backstage changes to models, rigs, and geometry! It seems to be contagious.

• Unfroze the blue flag near Fisherman Frizzy, allowing it to flow free in the wind with a new animation!
• Reimagined Toontown Central on the map for better look and detail! It really is contagious…

September 7, 2025 [ttr-live-v4.3.0d]

• Implemented a new scheme for downloading out-of-game resources such as the Toontown Dictionary, Street Signs, and the Terms of Service to improve reliability.
• Implemented a workaround for sound effects not being played in macOS 26 "Tahoe", the new version of macOS released yesterday. Bugs 'n Blunders

• Patched up a softlock bug that occurred during the Toontorial, caused by leaving Flippy mid-conversation (poor Flippy...) and returning back to him. The HQ doors would become unusable, but work just fine now!
• We've fixed a bug for the final battle in Cog Golf Courses, where you were asked to pick a Cog to target despite only one Cog remaining. Now, the remaining Cog is automatically selected.
• Polished up some code for Treasure spawns.
