This page lists release notes for Toontown Rewritten pertaining to updates that were released during the year of 2026.

January

January 1, 2026 [ttr-live-v4.3.1j]

Estates

• Fixed an issue where accepting a Gag Experience Multiplier from the mailbox would display an error screen despite it functioning properly. An erroneous error screen, if you will.

March

March 12, 2026 [ttr-live-v4.3.2]

Holidays

• The upcoming Double Trolley Jellybeans holiday has been EXTENDED! The holiday shall now last from March 13th until March 20th.
• Added a couple new SpeedChat phrases for the Pie Day and St. Patrick's Day holidays.

Tweaks

• Remastered the artwork that shows up after your Toon's name is accepted. The new artwork will now show Flippy and the Toon Council!
• Slightly reduced the chances of Cogs joining battles in Toontown Central and Donald's Dock. Those Flunkies have better things to do with their time!
• The Transparent Toon cheesy effect has been enhanced! Various cheesy effect transparency and accessory blunders have been fixed.
• The Sellbot Vice President has decided to stop wasting his undercarriage gears! His undercarriage will now ALWAYS open from the front when nearing the edge of Sellbot Towers. There'll be no more shooting gears off into the distance!
• To counterbalance that, the Sellbot Vice President will open his undercarriage less frequently towards the end of the final battle, instead preferring to use his other attacks. He wouldn't want to give the Toons too much of an advantage, would he?

Accessibility

• Added a new setting in the Options Menu that allows you to adjust screen shake intensity. You'll no longer need to tremor with fear when a Mover & Shaker attacks!

Bugs 'n Blunders

• While doing some groundskeeping, The Club President discovered that a number of Mole Cogs had gotten lost! Those pesky Mole Cogs have been shown the right paths back to the mole stomp areas in Cog Golf Courses. This fixes an issue where not enough Mole Cogs would spawn occasionally, forcing Toons to lose the mini-game.
• Fixed a memory leak related to Sellbot Field Offices.
• Fixed a rare district reset related to the elevators outside of Sellbot Field Offices.
• Fixed a longstanding issue where lawyer cogs in the Chief Justice fight would not become stunned if evidence from Toons made contact with evidence they were holding.
• Miscellaneous server-side stability improvements related to Trolley Games.

March 12, 2026 [ttr-live-v4.3.2a]

• Fixed a crash in Cog Facilities and Sellbot Field Offices.

March 13, 2026 [ttr-live-v4.3.2b]

• Added calendar entry for Friday the 13th.
• Fixed several issues related to Cheesy Effects during Friday the 13th.
• Fixed a regression in Rendition related to transparency in Toon Accessories.

March 31, 2026 [ttr-live-v4.3.3]

Tweaks

• Adjusted Flippy’s shirt on the Name Approved certificate to more closely match his actual shirt.
• Due to popular demand, the “What’s the craic?” phrase has re-entered Clarabelle’s Cattlelog! The phrase will be available in all new Cattlelogs from now until April 12th. From next year, it’ll be randomly throughout March!
• The Name-inator 3000 will now periodically check the names of Toons that have played each day to ensure new automatically rejected names and patterns are applied consistently.

Bugs 'n Blunders

• Fixed a client-crash related to Cog Battles.
• Fixed an issue where Districts would sometimes not restart properly - leading them to reset again shortly after.

General

• Added murmur murmur to grumble grumble, allowing for whisper whisper.
• Default camera placement will now follow the Toon from a top-down isometric perspective.
• Introducing Toontown Demastered! The Brrrgh’s flag has been re-pixelated and will no longer float in the wind.
• Doctor Surlee has finally located the remote for the Super Duper Air Conditioner! The Brrrgh should now be 10% less cold.

Activities

• Removed all physics from the golfing activity in Chip 'n Dales MiniGolf.
• Removed all golf balls from the golfing activity in Chip 'n Dales MiniGolf.

Toons

• Toons will now throw pies at a strict 45° angle to ensure maximum velocity.
• The shade of the cyan jellybean has been saturated by 0.003%.
• Toontown Central’s Ice Cream Cone Treasures are now Ripley’s Raspberry Ripple-flavored!
• The Toon Hall’s front door has been moved half an inch to the left.

Bugs 'n Blunders

• Fixed a regression causing release notes to be released too early.
• Squashed a bug getting dangerously close to my picnic basket.
• Accidentally deleted the new Gags coming with Clear Coasts.
Quick, quick! Think of a new Gag... What did I have for lunch... A banana! That’s it! A Banana Peel! Wait...
• Increased carbonation of all Seltzer Bottles by 25%.
• Fixed a bug where saying "Glue!" would have no impact on Lure accuracy.
• Reverted Seltzer Bottle carbonation levels back to normal, by popular demand.
• Fixed a long-standing bug causing Drop accuracy and Sound accuracy to be flipped. Whoops!
• Fixed a short-standing bug where Gag accuracy was uncapped. Hang on, didn't we just make that change?
• Fixed a medium-standing bug that... Wait, no, it's a flying bug now. Aaaand it's gone.

ToonTasks

• Players can now replay Lil Oldman's taskline by talking to him, for a reward of 10 jellybeans!
• All ToonTasks have been updated! All ToonTasks will be scribed on scrolls of papyrus, instead of parchment.

April 2, 2026 [ttr-live-v4.4.4.4.4.4.4.4a]

General

• Changed the battle accuracy system's 95% hard cap to now be a soft cap. Now providing more strategic opportunities to exceed past the 95% accuracy cap in some cases.

A Note from the Toontown Team:
Surprise! This patch note has been live since v4.3.3!

All accuracy bonuses such as Stun Bonus, Lure Bonus, Trap Placements, and Toons Hit, can slightly push your final accuracy value higher than 95%. With enough accuracy bonuses accumulated, some battle strategies can even be guaranteed! However, keep in mind that higher leveled Cogs will still make this a challenging threshold to achieve.

We've been monitoring all the battle calculations behind the scenes for a while now, and we're very excited over the general increase of accuracy hitting just a slight percentage more than usual. We hoped to achieve a mitigation for those that felt a lack of control over battle situations where 95% accuracy hasn't been reliable enough.

While we won't be sharing the individual numbers on what thresholds are required to nudge past 95% accuracy, you can now feel assured that ALL your accuracy bonuses will make an impact!

May

May 29, 2026 [ttr-live-v4.3.4]

Tweaks

• Taught the Goons in the Sellbot Factory that lights cannot pass through Warehouse walls. Goon lights should no longer attack players from behind a wall.
• Adjusted the Toon reactions to Restock and Toons Hit SOS Cards. Toons should now react using their SpeedChat bubble color, the same way they would react to Toon-Up!
• Added a 1.25 second grace period to allow Toons to hit inside the V.P.’s undercarriage after the undercarriage door begins to close.
• Virtual Skelecogs will no longer count towards ToonTask progression unless a ToonTask directly asks for them.
• Added an experimental gameplay setting to disable certain short loading screens (e.g. loading screens when transitioning between two different areas)
• The Toon Resistance has improved its magnets! The cooldown on hitting the C.F.O. has been reduced from 3 seconds to 2.5 seconds.
• Improved the physics within the C.F.O. battle, which should reduce the strange occurrence of “teleporting” Goons and safes.
• Fixed a crash related to skipping the four-star Sellbot Field Office credits; the skip button also now reacts to being hovered-over.
• A little butterfly tells me that a new accessory code has been found! Check the Toontown Blog later for more details.

Bugs 'n Blunders

• Fixed an issue where Toons would sometimes appear floating when talking to Shopkeeper Toons. Toons must respect the laws of gravity… sometimes!
• Fixed an issue causing Shopkeeper Toons to get stuck if a Toon that was speaking to them is disconnected when receiving a ToonTask.
• The Shopkeepers of Toontown have filed a noise complaint! Animated street and playground props should no longer be heard when inside buildings.
• Fixed an issue where Toons would sometimes hop unexpectedly when they start walking again in certain situations, such as after fishing.
• Fixed an issue causing Toons to get stuck if they are removed from an estate while their book is being opened.
• The closet in Toon Estates should no longer get stuck if a Toon disconnects while using it.
• Fixed an issue where Shticker Book pages would not be scrollable after rebinding the left and right keys.
• Removed a flat building that could be seen clipping into the inside of the Daisy Gardens tunnel on Elm Street.
• Fixed a crash caused by a deleted street prop becoming sad due to a nearby building being taken over by Cogs.

Cogs

• The Cog defeat sound and animations should now be synced up correctly during the banquet round of the C.E.O. fight.
• Fixed an issue causing Toons to see the battle reward panel in battles they didn’t participate in when a fanfare occurs.
• Fixed an issue where Toons could crash whilst waiting to teleport to Kaboomberg.
• Fixed a bug where the laser doors within D.A. Offices would continue to make noise even when all lasers were turned off.

• Fixed a bug where any Golf ball in the final battle with the CEO can turn white at any point.
• Mint obstacle course timers should no longer continue after the Mint Auditor battle begins. This will stop Toons from taking unexpected damage in the Mint Auditor battle from an obstacle course timer they didn’t fail!
• Fixed an issue where some unintended behaviour could occur if you go sad at the same time as jumping on a table during the final round of the C.E.O. encounter.
• Fixed a crash that could occur when leaving a street at the exact moment the Field Office music loops.

• Fixed a capitalization issue in the kart accessory color name “ToonFest Orange”
• Fixed some miscellaneous issues that could lead to unexpected crashes in Goofy Speedway.
• Fixed an issue where falling asleep whilst on the starting blocks at Goofy Speedway could lead to some weird and wacky shenanigans.
• Cleaned up a memory leak caused by pie splat effects in races.
• Fixed an issue where a Toon could crash when leaving a Toon Party whilst someone is catching a piece of fruit in the Catching Game
• Fixed an issue where Toons could sometimes appear invisible while learning the rules of the Catching Game in Toon Parties.
• Fixed a district reset related to Chinese Checkers.

June

June 3, 2026 [ttr-live-v4.3.4a]

Bugs 'n Blunders

• The C.F.O. seems to have tampered with the magnets in his boss room! A recent bugfix related to the damage dealt to the CFO when using the crane has been reverted, as it has been unintentionally causing the battles to go by too quickly.
• Developer's Note: We've received a ton of feedback about this change over the last few days! While many Toons are finding that the crane feels better and more intuitive to use, the change has had the unintended side effect of making that final battle finish far too quick. While we expected this to have an impact, we didn't expect the impact to be so big!
• We aren't going to forget about this, though! We're going back to the drawing board to find a happy medium that makes that battle feel more intuitive without affecting the pace so much.
• Fixed an issue that was causing the controls for choosing a tee in Chip 'n Dale's Minigolf to be inverted.
• Fixed a crash that could occur when pressing right on a controller when on the rightmost tee in Chip 'n Dale's Minigolf.

June 27, 2026 [ttr-live-v4.4.0]

• These are the release notes for "The Re-Quested Update!"
• This update also brings the Toontown Remastered treatment to Bossbot and Lawbot Headquarters! Unfortunately, it's taking a little while longer to get our usual documentation out. Thanks for your patience and understanding -- we'll be getting that out for Content Pack Creators as soon as we can!
As always, if you find anything particularly wacky in the remastered headquarters, you can report bugs to us at [email protected]!
• We’ve made a number of significant changes based on community feedback since the second playtest in June! Those changes, along with changes related to Toontown Remastered, will be prefaced by a ⭐.

ToonTasks

Story ToonTasks

• The entirety of the Lawbot and Bossbot tasklines have been revamped! There are over FIFTY new ToonTasks included in this update!
• Instead of being extra ToonTasks tacked on after the completion of Donald’s Dreamland, they have been seamlessly incorporated into the Donald's Dreamland taskline. Think of it as earning your Lawbot Cog Disguise during "DDL Part 3"!
• This also means that you can now take on multiple Lawbot and Bossbot Cog Disguise Part ToonTasks at once, rather than having to do each task one after the other. No more needing to run back to Shep Ahoy again and again (and again, and again…).
• ⭐ Many of the most painful ToonTask objectives from this update have been rebalanced since the end of the playtest, to make things that little bit fairer.
• ⭐ ToonTasks that ask you to Deliver Fish to a Shopkeeper will now show the location of the shopkeeper on the Street M.A.P.S.
• ⭐ Re-added the ability to ‘shop’ for random objectives for certain ToonTasks in Daisy Gardens and Minnie’s Melodyland.

"Just For Fun!" ToonTasks

• Many of the Donald’s Dreamland Just for Fun ToonTask Objectives have also been adjusted. Yep, that means you should be able to turn yourself into a Small Toon just that little bit quicker!

Miscellaneous

• Additional objectives have been added for ToonTasks. Shop around town and see what you find!
• Examples of these include “Complete Lawbot Puzzles” and “Earn Gag XP”.

Gag XP ToonTasks

Brand-new "Just for Fun!" ToonTasks have been added that offer Gag XP as a reward!
• These ToonTasks will only appear if you have a specific Gag track that is significantly weaker than your others for your current playground.
• Be sure to shop around! If you play your cards right, you might just find a Gag XP ToonTask that goes well with your other ToonTasks.
Gag XP ToonTask rewards are *not* boosted by battle modifiers like Cog Buildings, facilities, and Cog Invasions. However, global modifiers like Silly Teams will boost them!
• These ToonTasks are a response to the common feedback that some Toons haven't trained up their Gags for later Cog encounters despite their best efforts, even after completing all required ToonTasks beforehand.

Alternate ToonTasks

Implemented an optional, secret method to bypass all existing (and future!) main story ToonTasks that check your Gag progress.
• These ToonTasks are no joke, however! If you decide to opt-in, you'll be facing a challenge far greater than average for your current playground. In other words, simply training your Gags to the expected level would be easier than taking on these ToonTasks. You'll have to work for it!
• Once you've chosen an alternate ToonTask, you're locked in until the objective is complete. Choose wisely!
• There are many players who enjoy rolling new Toons for challenge runs. Our intention with this feature is to meet these players where they are, while ensuring that there is an adequate challenge to earn their status as a Toon with otherwise odd stats. We will be watching how players engage with these ToonTasks closely!
• Side Story ToonTasks, like those related to the Sellbot Task Force and the Silly Reader, are not impacted by this. Any ToonTasks they have asking for specific Gags will not be able to be bypassed.

Cog Headquarters

• Due to the aforementioned ToonTask updates, Toons will now be able to attempt to defeat the Lawbot Chief Justice at a minimum of 86 Laff and the Bossbot Chief Executive Officer at a minimum of 96 Laff.
• The Toon Resistance’s latest intelligence report suggests that there have been a few changes within Lawbot and Bossbot HQ!

Lawbot Headquarters

• ⭐ Looks like the Bottom Feeders have been busy polishing the floors! Lawbot Headquarters has been revamped as part of Toontown Remastered, taking advantage of higher-resolution textures and better collisions. Check out the content packs document once it is released for a complete list of changes.
• ⭐ The recommended Laff for The Junior Wing has been set at 75, down from 80, to account for the slight tweaks made to its difficulty.
• The Office Clerk will now target herself with Witness Protection, becoming immune to all forms of damage until one of her allies is destroyed. This will trigger when the Clerk's health is below 50%.
• While in Witness Protection, the effects of ‘Silence!’ will no longer apply. Silence will reapply once The Office Clerk leaves Witness Protection.
• If there's an open spot in the battle, the Clerk will always summon as many Virtual Skelecogs as possible as reinforcement, from a pool of 3.
• Previously, the chance of a Virtual Skelecog being summoned started at 33% and would scale with the amount of open spots, from a pool of 6.
• The Office Clerk's battle now starts with 2 Cogs alongside her instead of 3.
• Adjusted the Bounty Bonus of the Office Clerk in both the Junior and Senior Wings to compensate for the removed Cog. There should be no change in Jury Notice payouts as a result.
• The Virtual Skelecogs that appear when failing a laser puzzle have had their levels reduced in both DA Offices.
• Certain Lawbots seem to be behaving more fairly! The Spin Doctor, Back Stabber, and Legal Eagle’s most lethal attacks should occur a bit less frequently.
• The maximum Cog Level during the Chief Justice battle has been reduced to 12 to match the Junior Wing.
• ⭐ Each Chief Justice battle will now begin with a Level 13 on both sides.

Bossbot Headquarters

• ⭐ Bossbot Headquarters has been revamped as part of Toontown Remastered, taking advantage of higher-resolution textures and better collisions. It looks like the C.E.O. has invested in a portrait of his protege, The Club President! Check out the content packs document once it is released for a complete list of changes.
• ⭐ The recommended Laff for The First Fairway has been set at 85, down from 90, to account for the slight tweaks made to its difficulty.
• The Club President will now spawn her v2.0 Cogs during her Reinforcement 2nd Phase, giving Toons more breathing room to take down her first phase within those 5 rounds.
• Tweaked the Pink Slip reward count at the end of the C.E.O. battle. Depending on difficulty, you may receive between 3 and 5 Pink Slips.
• The distribution depending on difficulty level is now 3/4/4/5/5.
• This change makes it easier to form max fire groups by expanding the range and reducing the penalty of taking lower disguise players.
• The maximum level of Cog Waiters in the C.E.O. battle has been reduced from 14 to 13 to match the First Fairway. The level of v2.0 Cogs remains unchanged, capped at a maximum level of 12.
• ⭐ The first C.E.O. battle round will now begin with a Level 14 on both sides.
• ⭐ The second C.E.O. battle round will now begin with a Level 14 V2.0 on both sides, as opposed to a Level 12 V2.0.
• Slightly lowered the C.E.O.'s health pool to 2000 (down from 2500).
• Adjusted the C.E.O.'s damage output a bit to make the battle less punishing at the beginning for newer Toons.
• Fore!: 10/15/20 laff points depending on phase
• Single-Target Golf Swing: 10/15/20 laff points depending on phase
• Gear Toss: 10 laff points regardless of phase
• Bump: 10 laff points regardless of phase
• Table Squish: 20 laff points regardless of phase
• Adjusted the hunger and eating time of diners to be unified across all difficulty tiers of the C.E.O. battle.
• ⭐ Using golf balls to slow down the C.E.O. will now be twice as effective at slowing him down.

Fishing

Catch and Release

• Implemented a new “catch and release” system for fishing. When catching fish, you can press the “X” button to release the fish back into the water. This will effectively remove it from your bucket, meaning you cannot sell this fish for jellybeans.
• ⭐ Based on your feedback, the ‘Release’ button will now be a new button, as opposed to replacing the old ‘Acknowledge’ button.
• ⭐ It is possible to release a fish at both the fishing dock and within your Shticker Book, but NOT when selling it to a Fisherman or Pet Shop Clerk!
• You can still continue casting for more fish by pressing the “Cast” button as usual.
• The fish album is no longer updated when catching a fish, but instead when selling a fish to a fisherman or the Pet Shop.
• This lets Toons progress fishing ToonTasks without filling out their fish album, if they so choose.
• This can be used during Fish Bingo to quickly fill out the board without needing to sell your buckets to a fisherman. See how long you can go from just catching jars of jellybeans in the pond and "BINGO!" rewards!

June 30, 2026 [ttr-live-v4.4.1]

500 Jellybeans Fix

• We have updated the Toons that had their ToonTask reward set to 500 jellybeans.
• If you were carrying ToonTasks for the rewards of a Laff boost, a Large Backpack (80 gags), or a 250 jellybean pouch before The Re-Quested Update (ttr-live-v4.4.0) went live, we have automatically applied these rewards to your Toons! This is exactly the same as if you had finished and turned in the ToonTasks before The Re-Quested Update. Phew!
• The ToonTasks currently in your inventory have been unaffected by this patch and if you still have any that grant a 500 jellybean reward, you are free to either complete them for the 500 jellybean reward or discard them without any issue.
• If you have experienced any problems with this e.g. your rewards have not been automatically applied, please email [email protected]

Cashbot Ubers

• Don’t worry! Laff boost rewards were NOT applied to accounts that were detected to be Cashbot uber Toons, but gag pouch and jellybean pouch rewards WERE applied if the relevant ToonTasks were held. The conditions we use to detect Cashbot ubers are:
• The Toon must have ALL the parts for a Cashbot Suit.
• The Toon must NOT have any Lawbot or Bossbot suit parts.
• The Toon must have between an inclusive 70 and 72 Laff, EXCLUDING any Laff gained from Fishing or Cog Suits. For example, if you were a Level 40 Robber Baron and had 1 Fishing trophy (for a total of 4 Cashbot Suit Laff + 1 Fishing Laff) and were at 76 laff, you WOULD be migrated because 76 - 5 is between 70 and 72.
• If you are a Cashbot uber who has had their account incorrectly migrated, please email [email protected] within the next 6 months to get this resolved.
• If you are NOT a Cashbot uber and did not get your pre-update Laff boosts applied, please email Support within the next 6 months, too.

Bugs ‘n Blunders

• Our Technical Toons have squashed a bug that caused players to receive a message that claimed they’d unlocked a new gag, but had not actually done so.
• You can keep the extra confetti handed out, free of charge!
• Patched up a crash related to Merry Multipliers and gag exp rewards.
• We fixed an issue where some Toons were gifted a gag in the mail by Support.
• Improvements were made to playing emotes quickly in succession, including rapid transitions from walking to emotes. Using your emotes should look that tiny bit smoother now!
• Fixes to a couple of typos and extra spaces in the dialogue of new ToonTasks. Please keep reporting these!

June 30, 2026 [ttr-live-v4.4.1a]

This minor update addressed an issue where certain completed ToonTasks did not show where they needed to be turned in. No release notes were provided.
