Elevator

From Toontown Rewritten Wiki

In Cog Buildings and certain facilities of a Cog headquarters, an elevator is transportation that allows Toons to enter from one floor or level to another.

Variants

4-Toon elevators

A common type of elevator is the 4-Toon elevator. It is found in entrances of Cog Buildings and is used to transport Toons from one floor to the next. Five circles above the door indicate the number of floors and the floor at which the Toons are currently in. A music track plays while Toons are waiting inside the elevator and stops playing when the elevator levels with the next floor. Each floor has two elevators: an exit elevator, from which Toons enter the floor by leaving the previous elevator; and an entrance elevator on the opposite side, from which Cogs enter the floor to battle the Toons, and from which Toons access the next elevator after clearing the current one.

4-Toon elevators are found in Sellbot Headquarters, Cashbot Headquarters, and Lawbot Headquarters to transport Toons to the corresponding facilities without creating a boarding group. In the Lawbot DA Offices, they are also used to transport Toons to the floors.

A Trolley minigame called Toon Escape uses a 4-Toon elevator where Toons are instructed to enter the elevator before time runs out.

Sellbot Field Offices have 4-Toon elevators that quickly open and close. The exterior of a Sellbot Field Office has two elevators for Toons to enter and two other elevators for Toons to exit out of.

8-Toon elevators

8-Toon elevators are exclusively found in Cog headquarters boss lobbies used to enter the domain of Boss Cogs without creating a boarding group. The lobbies can only be entered by Toons with a Cog Disguise of the respective Cog department, unless certain events such as Operation: Storm Sellbot Headquarters and Operation: Crash Cashbot Headquarters are active.

Vertical platforms

In the Sellbot Factory, platforms are used to transport Toons to the top of the silos at the end of it. The first platform is located on the outer side of the West Silo and the second is found in the middle of the East Silo. They move upwards and downwards in 7 seconds and have a 6-second delay between changing direction. Toons may only board or depart the platform during its stationary state delay.

The Chief Justice's podium at the Lawbot Courthouse works similarly. However, the difference is that it only moves upwards and remains that way until the conclusion of the boss battle.
