| Toon Resistance Operator | Doctor Googlymoogly could use a little boost in researching the Remote Control. You should speak to them and see if you can help. |
Doctor Googlymoogly is researching the Remote Control more closely. Try speaking to them and see if you can help.
| Doctor Googlymoogly | I still can't believe it. Somehow, the Boiler parts we use let Toons boss around a Cog more easily than bossing a doodle with a jumbo jellybean! Hypothesis? All Boss Cogs have something special to 'em. After all, I've seen them boss around Cogs with the flick of a wrist! The next step of my scienterrific method is to test this. What happens if you prank a Boss Cog? Is it possible to prank this information right out of them? Go, fast! Time waits for no one, and neither do scheduled meetings! |
Prank the information I need out of a Boss Cog. What parts could allow them to boss around other Cogs?
| Doctor Googlymoogly | Interessstiiiing... Interesting. In-ter-es-ting. My theory is wrong? Do Boss Cogs not have a specific part to control other Cogs? It can't be! This is downright parabasis! Propositus? No, Prepostera!! Visit my good friend in Toon Hall, Professor Prepostera. Maybe he'll have a clue. |
My friend, Professor Prepostera, should be able to help with my research.
| Professor Prepostera | Why, it's great to hear from Doctor Googlymoogly! Although it's not my field of expertise, I have indeed done research on how Boiler parts work in the Remote Control. To start, let's investigate the Cogs' antennas that our remotes connect to. I wonder if any Cogs have had the unfortunate experience beneath a stomper... Search a Stomper Room within Sellbot Field Offices. You should be able to find a Cog antenna there. |
Is it a propellor, or an antenna? Perhaps, a propellantenna? Intriguing! I'll investigate this after you return with the antenna from a Field Office's Stomper Room.
| Professor Prepostera | Fascinating! The antenna connects to another piece of machinery: the Cogs' electronic control chips. Unfortunately, this one was stomped to smithereens. We'll need more. High-level Cogs, ones recently controlled by their Boiler, would have the best control chips for analysis. Recover 3 control chips from Level 13+ Cogs that are unquestionably controlled - not a single doubt in that noggin of yours! |
We'll need more control chips. Luckily, Level 13+ Cogs in Sellbot Field Offices should have the perfect parts.
| Professor Prepostera | These control chips will do nicely! I'm going to take two back to Loony Labs. I can't risk taking notes now and interrupting my game of tic-tac-toe with Doctor Dimm. Say, these control chips look awfully similar to the chips in Silly Readers. I'm curious... Can you ask Doctor Dimm to plug this chip into his Silly Reader? |
Ask Doctor Dimm to plug this control chip into his Silly Reader.
| Doctor Dimm | A Cog's control chip? In my Silly Reader!? Why, that sounds like the best idea I've ever heard in the history of ideas! I'll do it! Unscrew that, take this out... We don't need the old chip, right? This'll be delicious! I'll save it for my lunch break. Putting in the control chip now... Gadzooks!! Zilch. Nadda. Nothin'. Not a lick of silliness. Maybe a chip from The Boiler will make for a better scientific recipe. If you get one, I'll try it out. |
Those control chips don't have the tiniest bit of silliness. If you grab The Boiler's chip, maybe it'll work better.
| Doctor Dimm | Plugging in the new chip... Huh? How can these Silly Levels be even more nothing than nothing? Wait, I have an idea. Let me flip my Silly Reader upside down... Presenting the latest innovation in Loony Labs tech: the Boring Reader! Ta-daaa! WOAH! The Boring Levels of the Boiler are absolutely off the charts! We'll have to start calling S.I.L.L.I. the "Scientists Interested In Laugh Levels Lowering." If that last 'L' is lowercase, we don't even have to print new IDs. No one will ever know the difference. Take my notes back to Doctor Googlymoogly. This should be enough to help. |
I hope my notes coming from my unbridled genius are easy for Googlymoogly to understand.
| Doctor Googlymoogly | Hohohoh, thanks for the notes! Loony Labs created the original Remote Control schematics, so I was sure they could help. The Boiler's Boring Levels being so low compared to other Cogs can only mean one thing. It all leads back to the Corporate Ladder! The Boiler's climbed all the way up, and the more boring you are, the easier you can boss other Cogs. I tip my imaginary hat off to you, [Toon name]. Thanks for finding this info. |
