Sellbot Task Force expansion
The Sellbot Task Force expansion is Toontown Rewritten's major expansion update that was released as the 3.0.0 update on December 3, 2021, after four years in the making.[1] It entered development sometime before revamped Sellbot Field Offices were first announced during ReplayFX 2018. By the time ReplayFX 2019 arrived, it was apparent that the Toontown Rewritten Team realized they wanted to introduce additional endgame content, thus leading to what is now known as the Sellbot Task Force expansion that features the long-awaited Sellbot Field Offices, over 50 new ToonTasks, a top-secret Sellbot Task Force Hideout, and dozens of new rank-up rewards.
On May 30, 2022, the 3.3.0 update known as "Sellbot Task Force: The Last Laff" that concludes the Sellbot Task Force storyline was released, which consists of content associated with the Smasher set, such as newer ToonTasks, newer rank-up rewards, and the last laff boost.[2]
Sellbot Field Offices
- Main page: Sellbot Field Office
Sellbot Field Offices are menacing Boss Buildings that take over Toon Headquarters on the streets of Daisy Gardens, Minnie's Melodyland, The Brrrgh, and Donald's Dreamland. Unlike ordinary Cog Buildings, a Sellbot Field Office not only takes over Toon Headquarters but also contains two Cog office minigames and is operated by an all-new Boss Cog known as The Boiler. When Toon Headquarters in a street is taken over, it is taken over across all districts of Toontown. Multiple groups of Toons are each transported to a single wing of a Sellbot Field Office called an annex. Many annexes need to be taken down for a Sellbot Field Office to be conquered. Although Sellbot Field Offices most commonly have tiers ranging from one star to three stars, they can go up to four stars.

The Sellbot Task Force is a group of Toon Resistance members who actively monitor the Cogs' sinister tactics. They can be found in the Sellbot Task Force Hideout that is located in the sewers beneath Sellbot Headquarters. After Sellbot Field Offices landed across Toontown, the Toon Resistance seeks new recruits to join their cause. By joining the Toon Resistance, Toons earn their Resistance Rank and are instructed to complete ToonTasks that the Sellbot Task Force provides.
Battle system redesign and rebalancing update
As part of the Sellbot Task Force expansion, Toontown's entire battle system had been rebuilt and redesigned with a fresh appearance, improved usability, flexibility for future expansion, and support for all-new strategies introduced inside Sellbot Field Offices. Toons can now battle level 13+ Cogs, and experience new battle mechanics such as remote controls and status effects.
Another part of the Sellbot Task Force expansion introduced a rebalancing update for gags, SOS cards, unites, pink slips, and more.[3]
The Last Laff
"Sellbot Task Force: The Last Laff" is the conclusion to the Sellbot Task Force storyline that was released as the 3.3.0 update on May 30, 2022. Alongside content associated with the Smasher set, the update introduced Daisy Gardens, Inc., a playground transformed into a Cog headquarters expansion that features the only appearance of a four-star Sellbot Field Office. As Toons progress to reach the end of the Smasher set, they are instructed to visit the Kaboomberg district and help prevent the Cogs' grand attack against Daisy Gardens.
