The Chairman is a mysterious figure widely said to be the top Boss Cog and manager of Cogs, Incorporated. The first memo issued by him was addressed to "Sellbot Department 18-A", stating that Mover & Shakers would be awarded "quality offices" for their exceptional work during Doomsday, which he declared a "successful sales pitch".

For several years following Doomsday, The Chairman oversaw the production of Sellbot Field Offices, known as the "C.F.O. Project", and appeared on the Toontown blog for the first time to announce the project's full-scale launch on December 3, 2021. Three years later, he returned to the Toontown blog to announce another full-scale operations launch about Cogs, Incorporated being Under New Management on May 24, 2024.

Origin of name

A chairman is the permanent or long-term president of a committee, company, or other organization, and one who is designated to preside over meetings.

Trivia

• During Doomsday, The Chairman was mentioned for the first time by the Director of Ambush Marketing when he said "The Chairman won't be happy until you are."
• A blog post image shows a Head Hunter mentioning The Chairman by saying "The Chairman will not accept failure." on March 6, 2015, which was when Head Hunters invaded Toontown with a Mega-Invasion to hunt for Team LHAAFBBHQ.
• In a letter sent to the Chief Financial Officer, the Chief Executive Officer stated that The Chairman approved his manufacturing plans for Bossbot Headquarters.
• The Chairman is mentioned by the Chief Executive Officer when he says "No! Gah! The Chairman won't like this... Arrrggghhh!!!" a few seconds before he is demoted to a Flunky at the end of his boss battle in the Bossbot Clubhouse.
