  1. Toontown Rewritten entered Alpha at this time, on October 28th.
  2. Doctor Surlee's personal journal was revealed in the "Court Records" ARG.
    https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/171/03-cv-0012-surlee-v-council
  3. Doomsday also occurred in the Toontown Online timeline.
  4. Doctor Surlee's lab report titled "00-04-26 - Lab Report.txt" via LoonyLabs.net
  5. The Portability Design blueprint also came with a back side.
  6. The Manufacturing Machine is a device that produces anything made out of metal. As depicted in Toontown Online's old installer video, Gyro Gearloose likely intended to use the device to create the Cogs at some point.
  7. Scrooge McDuck disappeared when he visited Gyro Gearloose's lab and activated a robot that became evil, which is depicted in Toontown Online's old installer video and is considered canon in Toontown Rewritten's storyline.
  8. The identities of "The Two" were not yet known to be Doctor Fissionton as a dog and a cat until years later.
  9. At the time of when the memo was revealed, Sellbot Field Offices were not yet planned by the Toontown Rewritten Team to be developed as part of the Sellbot Task Force expansion that introduces additional endgame content, though the memo would still have relevancy. Along with Mover & Shakers, Cold Callers received their own offices.
  10. The Toontown Rewritten Team had plans to create an entirely brand new Toon Hall interior but ultimately scrapped the idea in favor of focusing on creating content players would want. A piece of concept art for the interior was shown in another blog post.

  11. Toontown Rewritten entered Beta at this time.
  12. Toontown Rewritten entered Semi-Open Beta, and introduced the PlayLine and PlayTime systems at this time.
  13. The Anti-Cog Control Hat is an accessory that is unavailable in Toontown Rewritten. The Propeller Packs are what were going to be used for Toontown Online's unreleased Lawbot Field Offices, with models and textures still existing in the phase files. The "weird canvas with the giant mechanical glove" in Doctor Surlee's office is referring to The Rewritten Device.
  14. An in-game ARG occurred where Toons had to speak to Mary and other specified shopkeepers including Melville, an HQ Officer, Dr. Fret, Gus Gooseburger, Drowsy Dave, and Professor Flake. Drowsy Dave did not remember his word and Professor Flake offered a URL to Doctor Surlee's memo of which he addressed to himself.
    https://www.toontownrewritten.com/assets/LL-memo-607630003555.txt
  15. Toons asked Doctor Surlee multiple questions; one question in particular asked about doodles, and Surlee responded by saying "Doodles? heh."
    File:Doctor Surlee Acorn Acres.jpg
  16. Toontown Rewritten entered Open Beta at this time.
  17. Doctor Surlee's personal papers document certain events that happened while he was in the Toontown Online timeline as Gyro Gearloose. Events such as the Toon Council Presidential Elections, the activation of the robot in Gyro's lab by Scrooge McDuck, Toontown's temporary closure after Doomsday, the Cogs erasing Slappy, and Gyro's lab being transformed into Cog Nation are mentioned.
  18. The Rewritten Device is what allowed Gyro Gearloose to rewrite himself into Doctor Surlee. Toons eventually received a small benefit from the invention with Toon Rewrite that became available in Clarabelle's Cattlelog for the cost of 10,000 jellybeans per 6 months.
  19. Piecing six of Doctor Surlee's blueprints (Silly Meter, Laff Meter, The Portability Design, The Manufacturing Machine, portable hole, and The Rewritten Device) together forms a drawing of a robot that appears to resemble the robot from Toontown Online's old installer video, which may have intended to be an Easter egg and a subtle hint towards Surlee being the creator of the Cogs.
  20. Similar dialogue from Doctor Surlee was repeated while he continued the Polar Bear tradition until 2019, before Paula Behr took over.
  21. When adjusting the contrast of the image in the blog post, text that says "Doodles, you say? Why yes, I saw one yesterday. Don't tell Doctor Surlee that. He'll find out soon enough." can be read.
  22. Toontown Rewritten entered Live at this time.
  23. Doctor Surlee's document titled "Info.txt" via LoonyLabs.net
  24. LL-TERMINAL26 is Doctor Fissionton's terminal.
  25. The Toontown Rewritten Team held an ARG scavenger hunt for attendees to solve puzzles, as shown in the blog post, and find missing pieces of the Cog memo at ReplayFX 2018. The memo was originally too difficult to decrypt and was later reworked for a future ARG on April 29, 2019, that led to Operation: Crash Cashbot Headquarters.
  26. At the bottom of the blog post is a fission image given to Doctor Surlee by Doctor Fissionton. The image was the start of an ARG for uncovering the URL to the comic titled Gone Fission: Part Two that depicts what happened during the Silly Meter's first maxing from their perspectives.
  27. Three Cog memo images are obtainable from a ZIP file called "COG_FIDENTIAL" that can be downloaded by clicking on the blog post image. The images are titled "12MEMO_A.jpg", "12MEMO_B.jpg", and "RFX18MEMO.jpg".
  28. It was later revealed in Joining Forces: Part 2 that "C.F.O." stood for "Cog Field Office".
  29. The truce contract marked the beginning of several ARGs that later followed, with this first ARG involving Toons having to decrypt the contract's main body of text and the text written in blue by using the Caesar cipher. Further information for the ARG was documented by a Toontown community member at this URL: https://gist.github.com/darkhappy/62d7bda8f8b28330ee67cbe8d3127e17
  30. A second ARG occurred where Toons had to decrypt a message sent by the Toon Resistance through Cog radars containing multiple numbers of Skelecogs from frequent Cog Invasions, which was found to utilize a translation method related to phone number pads. Further information for the ARG was documented by a Toontown community member at this URL: https://gist.github.com/darkhappy/62d7bda8f8b28330ee67cbe8d3127e17
  31. A third ARG occurred where Toons had to decrypt the audio file shown in the blog post that contains a combination of stompers. Further information for the ARG was documented by a Toontown community member at this URL: https://gist.github.com/darkhappy/62d7bda8f8b28330ee67cbe8d3127e17.
  32. A fourth ARG occurred where Toons had to decrypt the front side and the back side of the Sellbot Field Office blueprint by using the Vigenère cipher, with the key originating from a memo addressed by The Chairman. Further information for the ARG was documented by a Toontown community member at this URL: https://gist.github.com/darkhappy/62d7bda8f8b28330ee67cbe8d3127e17
